Green Lake Area Community Garden

Organized in 2009 as an all-volunteer organization serving the Green Lake, Wisconsin, area, the GLACG project has two goals: to foster the skills needed for successful organic vegetable and flower gardening, and to provide garden plots for area residents who have limited opportunities for home gardening. The garden plots are located at Bloch's Farm at W1604 State Highway 23, just north of Green Lake.

April, 2010, Fence-Raising
On April 3, 2010, GLACG will complete its garden facilities with a work day devoted to raise the fence around the project's gardens. Community volunteers and garden participants are invited to assist with the day-long event.

2010 Garden Plot Sign-Up Deadline
Area individuals, groups and families interested in reserving a garden plot for the 2010 gardening season are asked to complete an application form by May 1, 2010. Completed forms should be mailed to GLACG, PO Box 233, Green Lake WI 54941.

2010 Pilot Program
In 2010, GLACG will launch a pilot program pairing middle and high school students with Green Lake area master gardeners. All area schools and master gardeners are welcome to participate in the program. Area businesses and individuals are invited to become sponsors.
